Steve is a Partner at Catalyst and has worked at both private equity funds and corporate advisory firms over a 20 year career.

He focuses on our financial sponsors (private equity) activity and regularly advises business owners, management teams and private equity funds on management buy-outs and growth capital investments.

Recent transactions include the investment in Global Freight Solutions, the growth capital investments in Addison Lee and CitySprint, the tertiary buy-out of NES Global Talent, the management buy-out of 4Ways Healthcare and the sales of UK Heating Group, Thompson & MorganGardman, ARX Group and Interfloor.

A graduate of Nottingham University, Steve trained as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) moving into their corporate finance team before becoming an Investment Director in a mid-market private equity firm.

Steve has a passion for Rugby Union, being a debenture holder at Twickenham and a father to two rugby playing sons. His wife accepts this with good grace. She is less sanguine about Steve being a Leeds United supporter.
