Steve is a Partner at Catalyst and has worked at both private equity funds and corporate advisory firms over a 20 year career.

He focuses on our financial sponsors (private equity) activity and regularly advises business owners, management teams and private equity funds on management buy-outs and growth capital investments.

Recent transactions include advising Rutland Partners on its acquisition of Armitage Pet Care, the investment in Global Freight Solutions, the growth capital investments in Addison Lee and CitySprint, the tertiary buy-out of NES Global Talent and 4Ways Healthcare, and the sales of ZipUK Heating Group, Thompson & MorganGardman, ARX Group and Interfloor.

A graduate of Nottingham University, Steve trained as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) moving into their corporate finance team before becoming an Investment Director in a mid-market private equity firm.

Steve has a passion for Rugby Union, being a debenture holder at Twickenham and a father to two rugby playing sons. His wife accepts this with good grace. She is less sanguine about Steve being a Leeds United supporter.
