Richard is a Partner at Catalyst and has been advising entrepreneurs, mid-market corporates and private equity firms on transactions for over 17 years.
Richard is based in our London office and works closely with Andy Currie and Mark Farlow in the Business Services sector. He has a particular focus on professional services, consultancies, support services, facilities management and the business process outsourcing markets.
Recent transactions have included advising Spectric plc on its £163m acquisition of Concept Life Sciences; the management buy-out of YSC (2017), YSC (2013), FMP Global, and John Charcol/Towergate Financial, the secondary buy-out of Alcumus and Alcumus's subsequent acquisition of Santia, the minority investment in Efficio and the sales of The Automated Technology Group (ATG) to Wood Group plc, Celerant to Hitachi and Routeco to France's Sonepar.
Richard graduated in French and German from Cambridge University before qualifying as a chartered accountant at RSM Robson Rhodes and working in their London lead advisory team for eight years. Richard is fluent in French and during his time at Robson Rhodes, he spent a year seconded to a corporate finance boutique in Paris. Richard joined Catalyst in 2006.
He is married and has a young son to keep him busy. He is a keen skier and climber when time permits.
