Mark is a Partner with over 25 years' business experience gained within corporate finance advisory, private equity and industry.

Mark advises entrepreneurs and management teams of mid-market corporates in the UK and overseas and private equity investors across a range of sectors. He has significant overseas experience having studied, lived and worked in the Netherlands for ten years as well as Singapore and the Middle East. Mark leads Catalyst’s international business efforts.

Whilst he advises across a range of sectors, he focuses on sustainability and is an expert in the waste and resource management sector, leading Catalyst's Waste & Energy team. He writes regularly for the industry's leading journals and publishes The Catalyst Waste Fast 50 in conjunction with the CIWM each year, which identifies the fastest-growing, privately owned companies across the industry.

Recent transactions include advising Netherlands-based Waterland Private Equity on their acquisition of Ballast Phoenix, the UK’s leading IBA recycler; five acquisitions for Spain's SAICA, including the recent acquisition of Americk Packaging; and the sale of LRS Consultancy to Anthesis Consulting Group.

Before joining Catalyst in 2004, Mark worked for international logistic leader TNT Group, in Europe, Asia and the USA. Following the completion of an MBA from Nyenrode University in the Netherlands, he spent five years at Greenfield Capital Partners leading management buy-outs and portfolio disposals.
