James is a Principal at Catalyst and has over seven years' experience in finance, M&A and transaction services.

James works alongside our Partners and Directors to deliver all types of deals including company acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs (MBOs), fund raisings and strategic reviews, acting for business owners, management teams, corporates and private equity.​ 

He has supported the delivery of a number of transactions including the merger of Options Group with Outcomes First Group and the management buy-outs of TTC GroupProLabs, Victoria Travel Group and John Charcol/Towergate Financial.

James is also a member of our Industrials sector team.

An accounting and finance graduate from the University of Birmingham, James qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC. After working within audit and transaction services he joined Catalyst in 2010.

Outside of work, James is kept busy by his young family and is a keen follower of all sports, in particular rugby and cricket.
