Global reach

The majority of transactions advised by Catalyst involve an international element.

When we are acting on the sale of a UK client business we engage with a number of trade buyers and private equity funds based around the world. We also advise foreign corporates acquiring in the UK and many UK-headquartered businesses with operations overseas.

We are supported in delivering this cross-border activity by our partner firms in Mergers Alliance, our international partnership. Our partners in Mergers Alliance are leading independent corporate finance advisory firms operating in 50 cities worldwide and give us access to over 300 senior corporate finance professionals.

We are able to leverage this depth and breadth of experience to provide local intelligence for our UK clients looking to acquire overseas and help us identify and engage with international buyers when we are selling UK-based clients.

As a founding member of Mergers Alliance, and through our Chairmanship of the International board, we have led the strategy of developing deep personal relationships, sector-focused dialogue and clear mutual economic benefit between the partner firms. This ensures we can deliver a full service international capability in a way most other global firms and networks cannot.
