Catalyst appoints two new principals

Catalyst Corporate Finance has expanded its dealmaking team with the recruitment of Alex Silk and Shannon Cox who join the firm as Principals.

Alex joins Catalyst from Deutsche Bank where he was a UK Corporate Broking Associate. Prior to this he spent five years in the Corporate Finance team at Deloitte, so brings with him wide range of transactional experience. He graduated from Durham University with a degree in Social Science and has gained a number of additional qualifications post-graduation including the ICAEW Diploma in Corporate Finance.

Shannon joins the debt capital markets team at Catalyst from Grant Samuel in Sydney where he was a manager in their Corporate Finance and Capital Advisory group. During this time he gained experience of a large number of debt advisory transactions and he joins partner Andrew Shellard and director Guy Taylor who are seeing an increasing demand for debt services from both private equity investors and mid-market companies.

Andy Currie, Managing Partner at Catalyst said:

“I am delighted that Alex and Shannon have joined us and they will be excellent additions to our team. These two new hires mean we have added six people to our deal execution team over the past six months, as well as three new researchers who support our dealmakers. With a number of new hires to be announced in the coming months, this is a very exciting time for Catalyst. We have started 2017 strongly completing a number of deals and with a strong pipeline we expect further announcments in the next few weeks.
